More Information about Liposomal Glutathione

Glutathione is a tripeptide2 produced by the body that is composed of the amino acids cystein, glycin, and glutamic acid. Gluthatione appears in virtually all cells at high concentrations and is one of the main antioxidants in the body. Glutathione is a vital tripeptide, which has been much studied. Due to modern living with all the toxic and harmful substances that we are exposed to on a daily basis we require considerable amounts of glutathione for detoxification. These external factors deplete the store of glutathione in the body.

Liposomal glutathione is a proven method for delivering the reduced form of glutathione directly to the bloodstream. The liposomes ensure the glutathione is not damaged and reaches the bloodstream quickly. Study cited above showed that liposomal glutathione taken orally elevated the store of glutathione.

2A tripeptide is a specific type of peptide, or protein molecule, that is formed when three different amino acids join together.
